DESCRIPTION:The ASIST program is a 2-day training for adults in any community\, group\, or organization. The program objective is to enhance participants' skills to intervene with a person with thoughts of suicide in order to achieve Safety-for-Now. The desired outcome for this program is to increase suicide intervention skills and build community networks. This training is being provided free-of-charge through a partnership between Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services\, the Southside Community Services Board\, and the Southside Wellness Coalition.
