DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 6th\n\n\n\nAdmission $6 for 12 & Older\, $3 for ages 3-11\, free for ages 2 and under\n\n\n\n"Unlimited Ride Matinee"\n\nWristbands will be sold from 12noon-4pm and honored until 5pm.\n\nWristbands will be sold for $20.00 per person.\n\nNo coupons will be honored for this ride special.\n\nRegular Ticket prices after 5pm.\n\n\n\nFirst Annual Brunswick Stew Brew\n\n\n\nPRE-REGISTRATION ONLY!\n\nOpen to Non-profit organizations only.\n\nEntry fee of $25.00 per organization.\n\nGroups may begin setting up at midnight on Thursday\, October 4th.\n\nThe stew must be ready for judging by 10:00 AM Saturday morning.\n\nThe public will do the judging by popular taste test from 10:00 AM 1:00 PM \, with the winner being announced at 2:00 PM.\n\nThe winner will be awarded $250 and a trophy.\n\nAll contestants are responsible for supplying tasting cups and spoons for the public.\n\nAll contestants must abide by Virginia Health Department guidelines.\n\nOrganizations may sell stew by the quart to the public if they wish.\n\nDeadline for submitting applications is September 29th\n\nEntry is limited to twelve contestants so call today to reserve your spot.\n\nContact Mallory Lawter 434.517.1061 for more information.\n\n\n\n4H Dog Contest 11:00\n\nDog lovers\, grab your furry best friend and join the fun! Halifax County 4-H is sponsoring a dog contest at the Halifax County Fair\, Saturday\, October 6. The event is scheduled to be held in the exhibit hall at 11:00 a.m. If you are at least 9 years old and have a non-aggressive dog that is at least one year of age\, you are encouraged to enter. This includes adults. Canines can compete in various\n\ncategories such as: Best Costume\, Best Trick\, Best Bark\, Most Colors\, Most Looks Like Owner\, Tallest\, Shortest\, Longest Tail\, Shortest Tail\, Largest Paw\, Smallest Paw\, Ugliest\, and Cutest. All dogs must show proof of rabies vaccination. Registration forms can be picked-up at the Halifax Co. VCE Office.
