DESCRIPTION:Citizens who are or may be interested in running for public office are encouraged to attend an upcoming workshop on "How to Run for Public Office." The workshop will be held on Thursday\, March 21\, in the Southern Virginia Higher Education Foundation Boardroom in the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center from 4:00   6:00 p.m.\n\n \n\nThe workshop will include information from the State Board of Elections with Heather Harding\, Halifax County Voter Registrar\; and Halifax County in Review\; and From Candidate to Elected Official.\n\n \n\nThis workshop will provide the appropriate steps necessary to run an election campaign. Whether already running or considering a run in the upcoming November 2019 election or sometime in the future\, this workshop will provide useful information.\n\n\n\nFor more information or to register for the workshop\, please contact the Chamber office at 434-572-3085 or by email at info@halifaxchamber.net. \n\n\n\nWhile there is no cost to participate\, registrations are requested and should be made by Friday\, March 15.
