SUMMARY:Santa Paws Children’s Christmas and Pet Parade
DESCRIPTION:Children are invited to dress up their pets in their holiday best and participate in this year's miniature Christmas parade in the Town of Halifax. \n\nEnjoy the tree lighting ceremony\, then the parade of wagons will make its way up the sidewalks of Main Street where all the pet participants must be on a leash\, whether in a wagon or walking.\n\nIf an individual doesn't have a pet\, he or she can bring their favorite plush pet.\n\nAll ages are welcome to participate\, but only those 12 and under will be eligible for prizes.\n\nIndividuals also must clean up after their pet.\n\nUnload and line up starts at 5:30 p.m. at Halifax Farmers Market. Parade starts at 6 p.m.\n\nEntry fee is a donation of dog or cat food\, gift cards or cash.\n\nAll proceeds will be divided and distributed among Halifax County rescue groups.\n\nFor more information or parade application\, call Sharon Blosser at 434-579-5415 or Marsha Hite at 434-470-1211
