DESCRIPTION:Crime can devastate any business\, especially a small business with limited resources.  What can you do to reduce the likelihood of your small business being the victim of crime?  And\, if your small business is hit by crime\, what steps involving the legal system may take place in the aftermath of that crime? \n\n\n\nThese will be the topics of a presentation given by Lloyd Cobb\, Crime Prevention Officer\, of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office and Mike Freshour\, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Halifax County.  The presentation will start at 9 am on Wednesday\, February\, 9th on the first floor conference room in Building One at #1100 Confroy Drive in the Riverstone Technology Park on U.S. Route 58 west of South Boston\, Virginia.  \n\n\n\nPlease don't make the mistake of thinking\, "it can't happen to me".  Remember\, as Ben Franklin said\, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".  Join us and learn what can be done and what can be expected when a small business experiences a criminal act. \n\n\n\nThere is no charge to attend but you must call the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce to reserve your seat.
