SUMMARY:Star Party Public Night
DESCRIPTION:The fall Staunton River Star Party will be held October 12-18\, 2015.  Those that want to participate in the Star Party can register with the Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society at http://www.chaosastro.com/starparty .  There are options for registration\, including the full week weekend only.  The registration fee covers admission to the Star Party as well as allows camping on the observing field.  Food\, drinks\, and coffee are available beginning at noon on October 12   noon October 18\, from 6:00am   4:00am each day of the Star Party.  Restrooms and hot showers are located at the concession building.\n\n \n\nSaturday\, October 17\, from 8pm   11pm\, is the Public Night of Star Party.  The public is invited to come to the park for free to walk out on the observing field with the astronomers.  Each one will have their telescopes trained on a different object in the sky\, and will provide lots of information about the night sky.  Astronomers are also available to help guests with their own telescopes\, and can answer any astronomy-related questions you may have.
