DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation and tour of the IT Academy!\n\n			 \n\n			Kelly Shotwell\, IT Academy Program Coordinator and Trainer\, will discuss the IT Academy at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center.\n\n			\n\n			The IT Academy offers short-term training to prepare individuals with the skills and certifications required for employment in Southern Virginia's growing Information Technology sector. So far 31 individuals have completed the program with a total of 55 CompTIA certifications including A+\, Server+ and Network+. Program completers are now employed by Atos and TEKsystems (Microsoft data center)\, HPE and CSRA (HPE data center)\, and the Charlotte Co. Public Schools technology department.
