Grow as a communicator and leader   right here in SOUTH BOSTON\, Virginia!\n\nThe SOVA Innovation Hub is excited to announce we hosting a new meeting location for Toastmasters\, serving South Boston\, Halifax County\, and the surrounding region. Whether you're an experienced speaker or just starting out\, Toastmasters offers a supportive\, learn-by-doing environment where you can build valuable public speaking and leadership skills. During the Kickoff Meeting\, volunteer meeting leader Keith Washo will lead us through an example Toastmasters meeting. Light snacks/refreshments will be provided. You're also welcome to bring your lunch to the meeting. Membership is open to all community members.\n\n\n	One-time new member fee: $20 - this fee will be covered for the first 20 new members\, thanks to sponsorship from the Hello\, Hello podcast!\n	Toastmasters Membership dues: $60 every six months\, October - March and April - September. \n\n\nReady to join? Complete your application at THIS LINK and send it to Venus Wilmer (venuswilmer@gmail.com).\n\nBeginning Thursday\, September 11\, our club plans to meet twice a month\, 12pm-1pm at the SOVA Innovation Hub. Light snacks/refreshments will be provided. You're also welcome to bring your lunch to the meeting. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get settled. The meeting will begin promptly at 12pm and end promptly at 1pm. You're welcome to stay at the SOVA Innovation Hub and use our coworking space for the remainder of the afternoon\, as a perk of attending the Toastmasters meeting. \n\nThe primary meeting format will be in-person\, with a virtual option for members to join remotely through Zoom when they're not able to attend in-person. The Zoom link will be included in your registration confirmation. You do not need to attend every single meeting\, but we will need a minimum of 8-10 attendees at each meeting to be successful.
