First Day Hike

Start off 2019 with a fun "History Hike" here at Staunton River State Park. We will take a hike on the River Bank Trail and talk about the exciting history of the Staunton River and our beautiful State Park. If your New Years Resolution is to get outdoors more, be healthier, or just spend more time with your friends and family then this is the perfect way to kick start your year.The Riverbank Trail is an easy to moderate hiking trail and is perfect for beginners or for those who have been hiking all their lives. The hike will be approximately 2 miles. Be sure to bring plenty of warm clothes, a drink of water, and maybe a small snack. Pets are welcome.If you have any questions about the hike feel free to call our Visitor Center at 434-572-3694.Parking fees are waived for the day.
