Grand Opening at Halifax Farmer's Market

FARMERS MARKET GRAND OPENING - CELEBRATING 25 YEARS

The public is invited to a grand opening celebration Saturday at the Downtown South Boston Farmers Market Located at 300 Broad Street, South Boston. Come enjoy refreshments, music and always, lots of home grown and homemade goodies from people you know and trust. Va Cooperative Extension will be on hand with the Master Gardeners Help Desk and Food Demonstrations. The Market will be open beginning at 7:30 Am until the farmers sell out of home grown tomatoes, string beans, squash, cucumbers, onions, cabbage, beets, new potatoes, baked goods, vegetable plants & flowers. The farmers Market is open six days a week. The Bluegrass Five will perform from 9 to 10 am on Saturday. The market is celebrating its 25th year. The original shelter was built in 1992, but the market has been operating since 1987.
