Election District 5 Candidate Forum and Town Hall

On Thursday, October 24, the candidate forum for election district 5 will be held at Scottsburg Fire Department at 6:00 pm. Invited candidates include Dean Throckmorton and James “Jimmy” Wade for Board of Supervisors, and Freddie Edmunds for School Board.

Every candidate running for elected office received a letter inviting them to attend their respective forum. These forums are free and open to the public.

​Following each candidate forum, a presentation on the sales tax referendum will be made. The presentation is designed to help voters understand the issues and impacts on Halifax County. A town hall will be held to answer any questions citizens may have regarding the referendum.
