Halifax County Community Meeting

Community partners have come together to conduct a six-phase research and strategic planning process. A diverse steering committee comprised of representatives from the public, private, and non-profit sectors are guiding this process and ensuring that it lays a foundation that allows people and businesses to thrive and wealth to accumulate.

Phase 1: Community Assessment - many of you participated in our online survey, interviews, and focus groups to give us your input on Halifax County. We thank you for that! The community assessment provides a detailed evaluation of Halifax County as a place to live, work, and do business. Market Street Services complemented the input received with an analysis of demographic, economic, socioeconomic, and quality of life data trends.

This community meeting is being held to release the community assessment to the public. We hope you will join us on Wednesday, January 9, 5:30 - 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held in the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center's Innovation Center.
